Since the beginning of this year, while Goa’s beaches have continued to draw their usual crowds of holidaymakers, a quieter gathering has been taking place away from the crashing waves. On the second Saturday of every month, around 20 people come together at a pre-decided venue — not for a party or a picnic, but for a conversation.
Clutching a cup of soup in their hands, they meet at different locations across the coastal state to informally philosophize on pertinent matters — some close to their heart, others relating to society in general.
