Women hold up posters against the luxury homes project which they say will destroy their village’s ecosystem
Two months before the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) Gen Z protest against exam paper leaks began at Jantar Mantar, a group of women started a sit-in in Goa’s tranquil village of Carapur in Bicholim taluka. They were opposing a mega project by the Mumbai-based House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).
Spread over 5.3 lakh sq. m, the project comprises luxury villas with swimming pools, five-star hotels, an artificial beach, commercial complexes and civic infrastructure.
