For many years, walkable footpaths have eluded citizens in Bengaluru. They protested, requested and once desperately danced on the streets for neat footpaths to walk on. The municipality remained mostly ambivalent.
As in every Indian city, Bengaluru’s footpaths are populated by vendors, vehicles and whatnot. So broken is the footpath and so dangerous that walking becomes a survival of the fittest walkathon.
