In an unprecedented show of strength in the heart of central Delhi on Monday, Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders, with thousands of their supporters behind them, broke through barricades and marched to the Supreme Court, seeking the removal of the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar.
The march began in the afternoon and ended in the evening with Gandhi and a few leaders taking two petitions to Chief Justice Surya Kant. One of the petitions asks for action against Gyanesh Kumar for illegalities committed in office. The other points to brutal police action on students and journalists in Delhi.
